If you’re a High School Basketball player that’s playing on an AAU team this summer, this is a third episode in a series that shares the skills that you should be showing off in your summer AAU basketball games. The last couple of weeks we talked about showing off your positive energy and your control. Today we’re talking about another on court skill that’s one of the keys to playing time at every level of basketball.

I’ve been talking about skills to show off in your AAU games that will help you no matter what your reason for playing AAU this summer, whether you’re playing for exposure, improvement or just for fun. I’ve also been giving you some insight into what the college coaches in the stands are thinking as they evaluated players. Another one of the biggest questions they have about players on the floor is “Who can they guard?” Can they guard the players at our level, can they contribute on the defensive end or will they be a liability that we can’t get on the floor? So today we are talking about 3 ways to show off your on ball defense!
